Vitamin E Supplement Once A Week?

i heard that taking vitamin e is good for your skin, and i’m thinking about taking beta-carotene to get some vitamin a.
but 400 IU of vitamin 3 is a lot more than the recommended dose, and since vitamin e is fat soluble i could get very sick if i take this stuff daily.
so my question is, should i only take it once a week, to make sure i don’t build up? or even longer? or not take it at all. i dont eat a lot of vegetables or fruits so i may need this, and some others
should i just get centrium or some multi vitamin (i’m mainly taking this to see if it helps with my cystic acne)

400 IU of E daily is the RDA last I knew. That is well within safe limits. As someone pointed out, there are those who feel that you could easily up that RDA. There was some hype a while back about it causing problems, but that was mostly just more pharma cos research manipulation. E is a very good supplement, and fine at that rate.
A very beneficial way to get that daily is Carlson’s Cod Liver Oil (the brand we use, and tested contaminant/mercury free). It has the 400IU E, also has A and D, as well as Omega’s your body needs. Rather than a multi-vitamin, I’d try the CLO first. The Vit A is also good for your acne. Adding some Vit C – 500 mg 2x daily, will also give a boost.
Another good source for all those is the incredible, edible egg! We grow our own and love them!

I would actually recommend if you want to use a multi-vitamin, I would use a high quality multi-vitamin. The one that I use is called Intramax. The difference between Centrum and Intramax is the quality of the ingredients, and one is a liquid which allows for better absorption. The usual recommendation for Vitamin E is 400 IU per day. However, those individuals that are dealing with issued that actually require can supplement with Vitamin E with no issues. You might try taking the Vitamin E that you supplement with food. You might that this should help eliminate any digestive issues that you might experience. If this is still an issue, you might look into consuming more foods that contain Vitamin E. I know almonds do contain Vitamin E.

400 iu of Vit. E daily should be no problem. If type O blood, take it every other day. Acne could be related to constipation/intestinal issues, or even blood sugar imbalances, not just hormonal issues. See a good herbalist or naturopathic practitioner. I’ve seen people get relief from acne with therapeutic dosing (short-term) of vit. a, zinc and Healthy living habits. Dump any and ALL junk food including sodas!Forget the chain-store vitamins, and go for a multi-vitamin that is food-based and has “Guaranteed Pure” on the label.

Some people belive that the RDA of vitamin E should be much higher than it is. I know plenty of people (including in the medical profession) who take that much each day.
If you are concerned, take it every other day.

400 IU of vitamin E every day is quite OK and you are not in any danger of overdosing.
You can find further information in a search for “vitamin e” + overdose.
