Will Prescription Insurance Pay For Iron And Vitamin B Supplements If I Have A Prescription From My Doctor?

my doctor just found out today that my hemoglobin is low at 9.8 and my iron and vitamin B levels are low so he wants me to take the supplements and he said he would send the prescription for both to the pharmacy also I heard Iron is hard on the stomach is that true?

    Not in the States, because it’s OTC. Iron causes constipation. Eat lots of fiber.

    It really depends on your insurance. You should call them and ask. Some insurances do cover prescription vitamins.
