Are Whey Protein Supplements Safe And When Should They Be Taken?

I am lifting and wanting to increase strength and muscle mass. I researched on the internet and some sources say that too much whey is bad for you and can cause prostrate, kidney, and osteoperosis problems down the road, while other sites say that you need .7 to 1 gram of protein for every pound you weigh when lifting. Which is true and when should the supplements be taken?

Whey Proteins are safe as far as I know. Whey proteins are actually the best proteins that there are for building muscle. Whey protein is usually taken before and after exercise. It can also be taken during the day whenever you need protein.

Use whey, and get it from GNC. The container will help you with portions.
Also, use amino acid supplements to help build mass.
